CHARLESTON, W.Va. (AP) -- Jacqueline Brewer scored 11 of her 30 points in overtime to lift Martinsburg past Princeton 76-67 in the girls Class AAA quarterfinals Thursday.
Fourth-seeded Martinsburg (23-3) advances to play No. 1 North Marion (24-1) in Friday's semifinals.
No. 5 Princeton (18-8), playing in the tournament for the first time since 1998, trailed by as many as 18 points and came from eight points down in the fourth quarter. The Tigers went on an 11-1 run to take a 60-58 lead with 3:13 remaining. But Brewer's 3-pointer with 1:09 left sent the game to overtime tied at 63-63.
Brewer's layup with 1:24 left in overtime put Martinsburg ahead to stay, 68-67. The Bulldogs finished the game on a 10-0 run and limited Princeton to four points in overtime.
Amanda Smith led Princeton with 29 points, eight rebounds and nine steals. Heather Webb scored 16 points. Leading scorer Tesla Akers was limited to five points -- 12 below her average -- on 2-of-16 shooting.
