JOHNSTOWN, Pa. -- North Catholic, the sixth-ranked team in PIAA Class A, rolled to a 50-13 lead and brought Southern Fulton's season to an end in the second round of the state tournament at University of Pittsburgh-Johnstown.

"If there's five teams better in the state, I'd like to see them," Indians coach Mark Mellott said.

Chelsey Hollenshead -- one of four girls who tied for the team lead with six points -- also had eight rebounds for Southern Fulton (23-4). Brooke Whiteside, Keena Elbin and Lacey Beatty also had six points.

The Indians made their first appearance in the second round in 30 years.

W.Va. AAA draw announced

CHARLESTON, W.Va. -- Martinsburg will kick off the 2009 West Virginia Class AAA boys basketball tournament next week at the Charleston Civic Center.

The Bulldogs (23-2) were seeded No. 2 and will take on No. 7 John Marshall (19-6) in the tournament opener Wednesday at 11:15 a.m.

Musselman (19-6), making the tournament for the first time as a Class AAA school, will tip off on March 19 at 7:15 p.m., against No. 3 Woodrow Wilson (20-5).

If Martinsburg and Musselman each win, the schools would meet in the semifinals on March 20 at 9 p.m.
