COCOA, Fla. --Â Spencer Cromer pitched a no-hit shutout with nine strikeouts as Hagerstown Community College beat UConn Avery Point 3-0 at the Cocoa Expo on Wednesday.
Charles Johnson drove in all the runs for the Hawks (8-4), hitting a three-run triple with two outs in the top of the sixth inning.
Earlier in the day, HCC fell 9-3 to Nassau. Hawks relievers Craig Haupt and John Byram combined for eight strikeouts over the final 5 2/3 innings, while allowing only one earned run.
