BERKELEY SPRINGS, W.Va. - Kathy LuAnn Warren, 50, of Berkeley Springs, and formerly of Martinsburg, W.Va., died Monday, March 9, 2009, at her home while under the care of Hospice of the Panhandle.

Born May 28, 1958, in Rogersville, Tenn., she was the daughter of Guy Warren of Baltimore and the late Virgie Ann McPeak Warren.

She was a 1976 graduate of Western High School in Baltimore and attended Howard Community College in Columbia, Md.

She worked as a missionary with Outreach to Asia Nationals, Winchester, Va.

She served in the U.S. Air Force.

She was a member of Independent Bible Church in Martinsburg.

In addition to her father, she is survived by her stepmother, Doris Ann Duff Warren of Baltimore; three sisters, Margaret V.R. Chewning of Bunnell, Fla., Wanda G. Turner of Berkeley Springs and Betty J. Sturm of Glen Burnie, Md.; one brother, Guy P. Warren of Pasadena, Md.; and nieces and nephews.


Services will be Friday at 11 a.m. at Independent Bible Church, Martinsburg. Pastor Mark Johnson will officiate. Burial with military graveside honors conducted by Tri-State Honor Guard will be Friday at 2 p.m. in Oakland Cemetery, Morgan County, W.Va.

The family will receive friends Thursday from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. at Helsley-Johnson Funeral Home, Berkeley Springs, and one hour prior to the services Friday at the church. The funeral home will be open from 2 to 8 p.m. Thursday.
