Runaway teen in police custody

WARFORDSBURG, Pa. - A runaway teenager who had been missing since Tuesday was in Pennsylvania State Police custody on Sunday night, troopers in Fulton County said.

Brieanne Rank, 13, appeared on foot, unaccompanied and apparently unharmed, at the Hancock Fire & Rescue Co. at about 8:45 a.m., Pennsylvania State Police said in a news release.

Rank did not return home from Southern Fulton High School on Tuesday, police said.

On Saturday night, officers from the Hancock Police Department, Morgan County (W.Va.) Sheriff's Department and Maryland State Police Aviation Unit spent several hours searching for Rank and a 19-year-old male after they were observed at two private residences in Berkeley Springs, W.Va. Investigation into the male's involvement in this case continues, police said.
