March 04, 2009

MARTINSBURG, W.Va. -- Gov. Joe Manchin has appointed the general manager of Charles Town Races & Slots, the president and CEO of Martinsburg-Berkeley County Chamber of Commerce and the vice president of marketing and development at West Virginia University Hospitals-East to serve on the Blue Ridge Community and Technical College Board of Governors.

The governor's appointment of Al Britton, Tina Combs and Teresa McCabe on Jan. 13, still requires the approval of the state Senate, according to college spokesperson Sandy Sponaugle.

The Board of Governors is the governing body of the college. McCabe replaces Bob Kutcher, Combs replaces Bill Clark and Britton replaces former Del. Vicki V. Douglas, Sponaugle said.
