A ribbon-cutting will take place Sunday, March 22, at Valley Assembly of God, at 17544 York Road.

The ribbon-cutting for the new activity building will begin at 10 a.m. The public is invited to attend the celebration.

Cultural exhibit

The Washington County Museum of Fine Arts in Hagerstown City Park will host an exhibition, "The Jazz Age," a time of growth in American culture both economically and culturally.

The exhibit will explore a variety of cultural themes prevalent during this age of change. The exhibit will begin Saturday and run through the end of March. For more information, call 301-739-5727 or go to

Fashion show

Valley Mall will host the Tween Fashion Show Sunday at 1 p.m. at the Bon Ton court at center mall.


Tweens will be modeling the season's hottest new trends.

Ravens Nest

Tom Davis, Baltimore TV and sports announcer, will be the guest speaker at the Tri-State Ravens Nest No. 12 meeting Thursday, March 12, at 7 p.m. at Burhans Station.

Basket bingo

The Western Heights Middle School PTSA will hold a basket bingo Sunday, March 22, at Western Enterprise Fire Hall. Doors open at 12:30 p.m. and bingo begins at 1:30 p.m.

The event will be include 22 bingo games, raffles, door prizes and tip jars. Baskets will be filled with prizes. Food will be available for purchase.

Tickets cost $20. You must be 18 to play. Tickets will be on sale at the school cafeteria today on Family Night from 4:30 to 6:30 p.m.
