CLEAR SPRING, Md. - Mescal "Mick" Juanita Holler, age 87, formerly of 15 N. Martin St., Clear Spring, and a resident of Reeders Memorial Home, passed away Monday, March 2, 2009, at the home.

Born Jan. 10, 1922, in Westernport, Md., she was the daughter of the late Clifford Dawson and Nola M. Robinette Dawson.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Daniel R. Holler, in 1994.

She was a member of St. John's United Church of Christ in Clear Spring and was a homemaker. She was also a member of the Clear Spring Volunteer Fire Company Ladies Auxiliary and the Dry Run Homemakers.

She was a graduate of Bruce High School in Westernport.

She is survived by one daughter, Sharon Yeakle and husband, Jerry, of Big Pool; one son, Daniel L. Holler and wife, Elaine, of New Windsor, Md.; one sister, Ethel Trott of Baltimore; one brother, Gene Dawson of Westminister; five grandchildren; nine great-grandchildren; two great-great-grandchildren; and numerous nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by a sister, Wanda Williams; two brothers, Alan "Bud" Dawson and Zane Dawson; a grandson, Dennis Holler; and a nephew, Alan Dawson.

The family will receive friend this evening from 6 to 9 p.m. at Donald Edwin Thompson Funeral Home Inc., 13607 National Pike, Clear Spring.

Services will be held Thursday, March 5, 2009, at 1 p.m. at the funeral home. The Rev. Charles Mackley will officiate. Burial will be in Cedar Lawn Memorial Park, Hagerstown.
