Man faces drug, DUI charges after crash

March 03, 2009

A Pennsylvania man was charged with possession with the intent to distribute marijuana and other crimes after Maryland State Police on Monday night responded to a single-vehicle accident involving the man and his 3-year-old daughter.

The girl was not injured.

A witness saw the man throwing something away from the scene of the accident, troopers alleged in a news release. Officers recovered the item that was thrown and believe it to be about 100 grams of marijuana, troopers said.

Troopers also believe the man was under the influence of prescription drugs and alcohol, officers said.

Timothy G. Hull, 33, of Bedford, Pa., was also charged with possession of marijuana and driving while under the influence.

His daughter was being cared for by another family member.
