HANCOCK - Ronald Eugene Mullinix, 50, of Myers Street, died Monday, March 2, 2009, at War Memorial Hospital in Berkeley Springs, W.Va.

Born Aug. 17, 1958, in Carroll County, Md., he was the son of Carl and Patricia Mullinix of Westminister, Md.

He was a 1976 graduate of Westminister High School.

He was employed by the former W.D. Byron Tannery in Williamsport.

He served in the U.S. Army.

In addition to his parents, he is survived by his wife, Krista M. Cubbage Mullinix, whom he married Oct. 15, 1993; two sons, Ronald E. Mullinix Jr. of Arizona and Nathan Mullinix, at home; one stepdaughter, Tonya Strait of Hancock; three sisters, Lisa Stambaugh of Tawneytown, Md., Beth Scarbarough of Ziglerville, Pa., and Amy Montour of Eldersburg, Md.; three brothers, Karl Mullinix of McSherrystown, Pa., Stephen Mullinix of Littlestown, Pa., and Todd Diehl of Eldersburg; two grandchildren; nieces; nephews; great-nieces; and great-nephews.


Services will be Wednesday at 11 a.m. at Grove Funeral Home, Hancock. The Rev. F. Allan Weatherholt Jr. will officiate. Burial with military honors conducted by Tri-State Honor will be in Mount Olivet Presbyterian Cemetery, Hancock.

The family will receive friends today from 7 to 9 p.m. at the funeral home.

The family requests that in lieu of flowers, memorial donations be made to Grove Funeral Home, P.O. Box 368, Hancock, MD 21750-0368 to help defray funeral expenses.
