Boys & Girls Club gets $1,000 donation

March 01, 2009

Jim Deaner, executive director of the Boys & Girls Club of Washington County, along with several participants of the Boys & Girls Club, recently accepted a $1,000 donation from Fred Frederick of Frederick Seibert & Associates.

"Fred and his co-workers have been tremendous supporters of our community and this most recent donation to the Boys & Girls Club will be used to continue our efforts at providing local children with a safe place to spend their afternoons each day where they can participate in academic, life skills, health and sports activities," Deaner said.

"We realize times are tough right now for many people and our goal is to make sure organizations like the Boys & Girls Club can continue having a positive impact with our local community," Frederick said.

"We as a community have the responsibility to make sure we don't let the economy create more long-term burdens on local families."
