HALFWAY -- Tweens wearing brightly colored skinny jeans and Jonas Brothers T-shirts crowded into the Valley Mall food court Saturday afternoon for the Jonas Brothers Winterfest, held in conjunction with the Friday opening of the movie "Jonas Brothers: The 3D Concert Experience."

The tweens, mostly girls, know the answers to such questions as "What is one of Nick's favorite energy drinks?" "Who did the Jonas Brothers open up for on their first major tour?" and "What Disney Channel movie did the Jonas Brothers star in?"

The answers -- Sugar Free Red Bull, Miley Cyrus and Camp Rock.

Kayla Stine, 10, won the trivia contest by answering such questions correctly.

Many of the contestants in Saturday's karaoke contest were so small their heads couldn't be seen over the karaoke machine.

The most popular songs performed were those by the Jonas Brothers and Taylor Swift, a female singer also featured in the Jonas Brothers movie.

Jordyn Lowman, 16, and her sister, Brooklynn, 15, of Chambersburg, Pa, saw the Jonas Brothers in concert in Baltimore in August 2008 on the group's "Burning Up" tour, during which the recently released concert movie was filmed.

"After going to a Jonas Brothers concert, we really have a passion for their music," Jordyn said.

The sisters saw the Jonas Brothers movie Saturday afternoon, then signed up for the karaoke contest on a whim.

"I think it's just because they're relatable," Jordyn said of the girls' love for the group's music.

The girls were wearing matching Jonas Brothers T-shirts and chose to sing the group's song "When You Look Me in the Eye," a performance that got the sisters a spot as one of three finalists in the karaoke contest.

"It's probably one of our most favorite songs," Jordyn said.

Julia Ebersole 9, was the first to perform Saturday. Her twin sister, Jenna, followed her.

Julia wore a T-shirt that read "I'm crushin' on Nick," while Jenna wore a black Jonas Brothers tank top over a white T-shirt and a black Jonas Brothers cap.

The girls' father filmed their performances, and their friends, aunts, uncles and grandparents were in the audience.

Jenna explained why her sister decided to sing "Love Story" by Taylor Swift.

"She really likes Taylor Swift," Jenna said.

Jenna sang "Can I Have this Dance" from the movie "High School Musical 3."

The girls practice singing in the family's basement, said their mother, Carol Ebersole of Hagerstown.

Along with the Lowman sisters, Karli McKee, 13, and Taylor Carter, 16, were finalists in Saturday's karaoke contest.

All of the finalists received Jonas Brothers prize packs, and the grand prize was two tickets to the Jonas Brothers movie, said Julie Rohm, general manager of Valley Mall.
