Beginning beekeeping shortcourse

CHAMBERSBURG, Pa. -The Franklin County Beekeepers' Association offers a five-session shortcourse on beginning beekeeping.7 to 9 p.m. Thursdays, March 5, 12, 19 and 26. Franklin County Extension Office, 181 Franklin Farm Lane. Registration is required and limited to the first 40 participants. Registration costs $356 per family and includes beekeeping manual, disposable gloves, refreshments and membership in the Franklin County Beekeepers' Association. Winter Gardening 101

SHIPPENSBURG, Pa. -"Hands-on Pruning" with Franklin County Master Gardener Elmer Greey at his Shippensburg, Pa., garden that features more than 700 different plants. MONT ALTO, Pa. -- Nicodemus Center for Ceramic Studies offers an introduction to ceramics studio class for adults. Students receive instruction and produce their own projects using various clay working techniques. Watercolor workshop -- Moving On!

MARTINSBURG, W.Va. -- This class will focus on the newer and more unusual techniques that are available to the watercolor artist. These skills will be added to the basic skills. Bring in 4-inch-by-5-inch or 5-inch-by-7-inch photographs of several large seashells or flowers, sicissors and all other watercolor supplies.
