Waynesboro Historical Society

WAYNESBORO, Pa. --Thursday, March 12, dinner at 6 p.m., game at 7 p.m., Waynesboro Elks Lodge. The group will host its Waynesboro Jeopardy! contest. Several local notables have been tapped to serve as contestants. Dinner costs $18. Deadline to make a dinner reservation is Friday, March 6. Dinner will include salad, stuffed chicken breast, mashed potatoes, gravy, California vegetable blend and ice cream with mint sauce. A vegetarian entrée, vegetarian lasagna, can be substituted for the chicken breast. To make dinner reservations, call the Oller House, 717-762-1747 and leave a name, phone number, number of people expected and entrée choice. People that wish to only attend the game at 7 p.m. are invited to do so.

Spaghetti supper

Friday, Feb. 27, 5 to 7 p.m., Wilson Ruritan Club, 1/4 mile west of Huyetts Crossroads on U.S. 40. $6 for adults and $4 for children ages 5 to 11. All you can eat. There also will be a cake auction.

Indoor yard sale

ST. JAMES -- Saturday, Feb. 28, 8 a.m. to 1 p.m., St. James Brethren Church, 17718 Lappans Road. Breakfast will be served until 10 a.m. and lunch will be served from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. Homemade soups and sandwiches and baked goods will be available. Soup may be purchased by the quart. BOONSBORO -- Saturday, Feb. 28, 8 a.m. to 2 p.m., Boonsboro High School Cafeteria, 10 Campus Ave. Homemade soups, baked goods, sandwiches and other food items will be for sale. Used books, CDs, DVDs, video games will also be for sale. Proceeds benefit Boonsboro Middle and High School Band Boosters.

WILLIAMSPORT -- Sunday, March 1, doors open at 11:30 a.m., lunch at noon, bingo starts at 1:30 p.m. Williamsport Fire Station. Tickets cost $25 per person for 25 games of bingo and lunch.
