Pancake breakfast set for Saturday

The Maugansville Ruritan Club will host an all-you-can-eat pancake breakfast Saturday from 6:30 to 11 a.m. at the Ruritan community building on Maugans Avenue.

The menu includes pancakes, Hoffman sausage, scrambled eggs, sausage gravy, coffee, tea and orange juice. Tickets cost $5.50 for adults and $3 for those ages 6 to 12. Children 5 and younger will be admitted free. Proceeds will help support the many programs the club sponsors.

Community auction to be held March 21

The Maugansville Ruritan will hold its annual community auction Saturday, March 21, at the community center, starting at 3 p.m. New and used items will be auctioned off and refreshments will be available. There will be new furniture, automobile services and other items up for bidding. Proceeds will go toward Ruritan projects.

Friendship Club to meet Tuesday

The Maugansville Senior Friendship Club will meet Tuesday at Tops Chinese Restaurant in North Village Shopping Center. A Dutch treat lunch at noon will be followed by the meeting. The topic of discussion will be about using mediation to resolve conflicts. All area seniors are welcome to join. Hub Band plans money bonanza

The North Hagerstown High School Hub Band Boosters will hold its annual money bonanza Saturday at the Elks Lodge on Robinwood drive.

Doors open at 5 p.m. with a buffet dinner served at 6:30 p.m. The money drawing will begin at 8 p.m. with a dance to follow until midnight. Music will be provided by Paul Needy. The balloon pop will begin at 6 p.m. Tip jars, including King Tuts, will be sold throughout the night. Tickets cost $30 per couple, which includes two dinners, drinks, snacks, dancing and a chance to win $1,000. Tickets are available by contacting Pam at 301-791-5998. You must be 21 to attend.
