SilverSneakers program targeted for seniors



WILLIAMSPORT - For women interested in staying fit as they age, SilverSneakers offers a unique opportunity.

Curves in Williamsport, at 10210 Gov. Lane Blvd., will have an open house today. There will be food, beverages and information throughout the day.

New hours for library



WILLIAMSPORT - The Williamsport Memorial Library branch will have new operating hours beginning March 2

The new hours are:

Monday to Friday from 10 a.m. to 7 p.m.; Saturday from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m.

Indoor yard sale to be held Saturday



St. James Brethren Church, at 17718 Lappans Road, will hold an indoor yard sale Saturday from 8 a.m. to 1 p.m.

It costs $15 to rent a space and $5 to rent a table. Setup will be Friday evening.

Breakfast will be available from 8 to 10 a.m.

Lunch will be served from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m.

The lunch menu includes soups - vegetable, chicken corn and bean - and country ham, baked ham and turkey sandwiches.

Soup may be purchased by the quart. A bake sale table will also be available.

There will be church-sponsored sale items.

Call Sam Griffith at 301-582-3343 to make donations, rent a space or if you have any questions. A snow date has been set for March 7. All proceeds will be applied to the Ministry Center mortgage.

Life Line screening to be held Thursday



WILLIAMSPORT - Life Line screening will be held Thursday at Zion Lutheran Church, 35 W. Potomac St. Call 1-888-753-1131 to arrange an appointment.
