Area Roundup -- Hagerstown men advance in Md. JuCo play

MEN'S BASKETBALL



LARGO, Md. -- Jeremy Myers scored 20 of his 26 points in the second half and Raason Young came up with two huge blocks down the stretch as Hagerstown Community College edged Garrett 85-81 Friday in the quarterfinals of the Maryland JuCo Tournament.

Amaurys Fermin had 19 points and 10 assists, Jordan Brooks scored 15 points and Young added 12 points and five boards for the Hawks (21-7). Raylin Brown had 10 rebounds while Will Taylor added nine boards to aid in the win.

HCC will face Allegany College today in the Md. JuCo semis at 5 p.m. at Prince George's Community College.
