Hagerstown Hotel and Conference Center grand ballroom, a Celebration of God's Love sponsored by area Lutheran churches is today at 5 p.m. featuring praise band music, a message in songs, words and skits. A freewill offering will benefit Habitat for Humanity of Washington County.

St. Joseph Catholic Church, Halfway Boulevard and Virginia Avenue, Hagerstown, a pre-Lenten celebration Mardi Gras casino night and auction in Riggie Hall of the Parish Center is today from 7 to 11 p.m. Tickets cost $25 and are available in the parish office or at the door. Call 301-797-9445.

St. Matthew's United Methodist Church, a pork and sauerkraut dinner is today from 3 to 7 p.m. Tickets cost $6.50. Menu also includes mashed potatoes, succotash, bread, beverage and dessert. Baked goods will be for sale.

Grace and Truth Fellowship, 1334 S. Fourth St., Chambersburg Pa., First United Methodist Church will host Thom Gardner for a workshop today from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. titled "Seven Things to Tell Your Children." Shepherdstown (W.Va.) Presbyterian Church, 100 W. Washington St., Paul Galbreath, author of "Leading from the Table," will present a free forum today at 10 a.m. on "Praying Around the Communion Table: Cultivating a Spirit of Thanksgiving." St. Mark's Episcopal Church, Lappans Road, Boonsboro, the annual Shrove Tuesday pancake supper is Tuesday from 4 to 6:30 p.m. Adult tickets cost $4; children's tickets for ages 3 to 12 cost $2.

St. Thomas' Episcopal Church, Hancock, the annual Shrove Tuesday pancake supper is Tuesday from 5 to 7 p.m. Adult tickets cost $5; children's tickets cost $3; children 5 and younger eat free. Ash Wednesday services are at 7:30 a.m. and 7:30 p.m. followed by pre-Lenten feasting in the parish hall.

Evangelical Lutheran Church, 130 N. Washington St., Greencastle, Pa., the Greencastle-Antrim Women's Fellowship will host Kathy Heebner Tuesday at 9:30 a.m. speaking on "The Royal Family Kids Camp."

Christ Community Church, meets at Willow Brook Church, 8916 Mapleville Road, Boonsboro, Ash Wednesday worship service will be held Wednesday.

World Harvest Outreach, 1090 Wayne Ave., Chambersburg, Pa., Kingdom Economic Conference to learn biblical principles and practical strategies for financial increase from guest speakers is Feb. 27 at 7 p.m.; Feb. 28 at 9 a.m. and 1 and 6 p.m.; and March 1 at 9 and 10 a.m. Conference is free.
