YMCA youth night

CHAMBERSBURG, Pa. -The Chambersburg YMCA will host a youth night from 7 to 9:30 p.m. Saturday, Feb. 21. Students in grades five through nine are invited to the YMCA for a free night of fun. Christ Among Neighbors will facilitate the night's events. The theme for the night is "The Second Annual All-Star Night." Youths will have structured, recreational games, including basketball, dodge ball and more. Snacks will be provided during the evening.

Learning Center open house

SMITHSBURG - Trinity Learning Center will have an open house from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. Saturday, Feb. 28. Parents are invited to bring their children for a magic show and crafts, and check out the facility and programs. Trinity Learning Center offers preschool programs for children ages 3 and 4 in morning and afternoon sessions. Registrations for 2009-10 are being accepted. Parenting styles workshop

NEW MARKET, Md. - A free program, "Parenting Styles: What Works When" will be held from 7 to 8:30 p.m. Thursday, Feb. 26, at New Market Middle School. The program is co-sponsored by Families Plus and the Frederick County Public Schools' counseling and support.

Kim Anderson, school counselor, will discuss various parenting styles and how they might need to change as children grow and mature, or vary from one child to another in a family or child care setting. There will be time for questions and discussion. Call Families Plus to register at 301-694-9002.

YMCA classes

CHAMBERSBURG, Pa. - Chambersburg YMCA, 570 E. McKinley St., will offer the following new classes:

o Family yoga - Learn how to breathe, focus and laugh through a variety of fun yoga poses.
