ST. THOMAS, Pa. - Joyce Elizabeth Sharrah Detrow, 65, of 7707 Cumberland Circle, and formerly of the Waynesboro, Pa., area, died Wednesday, Feb. 18, 2009, at Manorcare Health Services in Chambersburg, Pa.
Born March 30, 1943, in Waynesboro, she was the daughter of the late Clarence W. and Lorraine Hartman Sharrah.
She was preceded in death by her companion, Chester E. Baer Sr., who died Jan. 27, 2008.
She attended Waynesboro High School and later received her GED.
She worked at the former Los Gringos Restaurant in Waynesboro.
She was a member of Fraternal Order of Eagles 1758 Ladies Auxiliary of Waynesboro.
She is survived by three daughters, Cindy Anderson of Fredericksburg, Va., Cathy Detrow of St. Thomas and Cassie Imes of Waynesboro; one son, Carroll Detrow of Rouzerville, Pa.; two stepdaughters, Crystal Baer of Chambersburg and Diane Baer of Albuquerque, N.M.; three stepsons, Chester Baer Jr. of Rouzerville, Douglas Baer of Tallahassee, Fla., and David Baer of Portland, Ore.; four sisters, Jane V. Beeler, Joanne L. Cauffman and Judith N. Hoover, all of Waynesboro, and Jeanne M. Tracey of Rouzerville; 14 grandchildren; four stepgrandchildren; two great-grandchildren; and nieces and nephews.
