Prior to entering the Army, Harry married Patricia A. May. Together, they had three children, Cheryl A. Ruby, Larry L. Yeatts and W. Bryan Yeatts. He later married Sondra L. Ramp and together, they had two children, Jacqualine L. Surber and Deborah K. McGiffin. He also was the stepfather to Sondra's first three children, Cindy L. Heavener, Betty L. Whitmore and Dora J. Pullen.
Harry is survived by three brothers, Robert E. Yeatts of Washington, J. Richard Yeatts and Ronald D. Yeatts of California.
Throughout his life, Harry truly enjoyed oil painting, golfing, gardening, photography, traveling, building and remodeling, roller skating, slot car racing, playing chess and sweet cherry pie! Great friends were as important to him as was his family. His door was always open to those who needed a shoulder. In good times or bad, the grace of his hand was always available for the taking. He had an unyielding ability to give what was needed when you didn't know you were in need. His love of chess showed how he welcomed a good challenge with a worthy opponent, if they dare to try. His virtue of character never wavered. During the most unbearable times, he remained a pillar of strength to catch others when they had fallen. This gentle, yet soft spoken man has touched the lives of many on a profound level and will truly be missed by those left behind.
