Pork and sauerkraut dinner set for Saturday

St. Matthew's United Methodist Church, on the corner of Franklin and High streets in Hagerstown, is sponsoring a pork and sauerkraut dinner Saturday. The meal is eat-in or carry-out. The dinner will be from 3 to 7 p.m.

The menu includes pork, sauerkraut, mashed potatoes, succotash, roll, drink and dessert. Tickets cost $6.50 per person. Those ages 4 and younger will be admitted free. A bake sale will also be available

Spaghetti dinner

Cub Scout Pack 27 will host a spaghetti dinner Saturday at Grace United Methodist Church on the corner of Winter and West Church streets in Hagerstown.

Tickets cost $5 for adults and $3 for those ages 6 to 12. Those 5 and younger will be admitted free.


The dinner is from 4 to 7 p.m.

Comedy tour

On Saturday, March 7, the Make Me Laugh Comedy Tour will perform at Burhans Station on South Burhans Boulevard. The tour is hosted by Chad Beadle and will feature Stacey Carver, Bird Knight, Bill Monaghan, Jay Nuff and Cory Monroe.

Doors open at 7:30 p.m. with the show beginning at 9 p.m. Tickets costs $10 in advance, $15 at the door. For tickets, call 240-367-5052.

Doughnuts available

The children's division of Washington Square United Methodist Church, 538 Washington Ave., will be making doughnuts for Shrove Tuesday, which is Feb. 24.

Doughnuts cost $2.25 per dozen. Orders may be placed by calling the church office at 301-739-2653 or Patsy Weigand at 301-790-3510.

The church is next to Western Enterprise Fire Hall. There is plenty of parking in back of the church.
