True Alan Hubler, 63

On Feb. 6, 2009, True Alan Hubler, 63, a well-known Realtor in Montgomery and Frederick counties, and a long-time resident of Gaithersburg, Md., passed away of lung cancer at Heartland Hospice in Columbia, S.C. (True was a nonsmoker.)

He was a graduate of the University of Maryland (Cum Laude), served with the Army in Vietnam and taught middle school for several years prior to entering real estate.

Mr. Hubler and his wife, the former Edythe (Edie) Rinehart, retired to Aiken, S.C., in 2007. Other survivors include his son, Brett A. Hubler of Aiken and Columbia, S.C.; his mother, Dorothy Lou Hubler of Gaithersburg; siblings, Bradley Hubler of California, Gary Hubler and Zana Lynne Hintz of Gaithersburg, and Mark Hubler of Wasilla, Alaska; brother-in-law, Newt Rinehart (Fran) of Hagerstown; niece, Toni Rinehart Sullivan (Brian) of Hagerstown; and Dylan, Taylor and Trevor Hintz of Gaithersburg.

Burial will be private at Ramsey Creek Preserve, a "green cemetery" in Westminster, S.C. (www.ramseycreekpreserve.com).

In lieu of flowers, donations in True's memory may be made to Golden Harvest Food Bank, 13 Enterprise Ave., Aiken, SC 29803.
