BERKELEY SPRINGS, W.Va. -- Alberta Christine Ruleman, 88, of Berkeley Springs, died Friday, Feb. 13, 2009, in Berkeley Springs.
Born Sept. 16, 1920, in Morehead, Ky., she was the daughter of the late William and Emma Lou Swim Hammond.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Leedoyle Ruleman Sr., in 1984.
She retired as a cook from the public school system in White Lake, Wis.
She was a member of Gospel Light Tabernacle, Berkeley Springs.
She is survived by three sons, William Lyons and Leedoyle Ruleman Jr., both of Berkeley Springs, and Gordon Ruleman of Inwood, W.Va.; one sister, Linda Conner of Arbutus, Md.; three brothers, Edward Hammond of Beltsville, Md., Larry Hammond of Berkeley Springs and Rodney Hammond of Wallingford, Ky.; numerous grandchildren, great-grandchildren and great-great-grandchildren; and numerous nieces and nephews.
Services will be Wednesday at 1 p.m. at Gospel Light Tabernacle, Berkeley Springs. The Rev. Russell Cheek will officiate. Burial will be in Union Chapel Church Cemetery, Berkeley Springs.
