CHAMBERSBURG, Pa. - Iva E. Burger, 86, a resident of Falling Spring Nursing & Rehabilitation Center, Chambersburg, and formerly of Trinity House, Waynesboro, Pa., died Sunday, Feb. 15, 2009, at the nursing center.
Born, March 11, 1922, in Hagerstown, she was the daughter of the late Irvin K. and Carrie L. Brubaker Martin.
Her husband, Wilbur S. Burger, died Nov. 30, 2003. They were married Sept. 7, 1974.
She worked as a clerk at Park Avenue Pharmacy in Chambersburg.
She was a member of Trinity Lutheran Church in Greencastle, Pa.
She is survived by three daughters, Joyce Wolfe of Mercersburg, Pa., Nadene Welsh of Waynesboro and Connie Barr of Greencastle; two sons, Kenneth Wetzel of Greencastle and Dennis Wetzel of Rouzerville, Pa.; one sister, Norma Yeager of St. Thomas, Pa.; 15 grandchildren; and numerous great-grandchildren and great-great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by four sisters, Mildred Stumbaugh, Margaret Poper, Marion Garling and Frances Ganoe; an infant brother and sister; one granddaughter; and one grandson.
