Kaplan graduates winter 2009 class

CHICAGO - Kaplan University celebrated the graduation of its winter 2009 class during a live ceremony Jan. 31 in Miami. Five-time Grammy Award-winning recording artist John Legend served as the commencement speaker. The following local students were awarded degrees:

Andrew Davis of Frederick, Md., was awarded an associate of applied science in criminal justice.

Deidra Boykin of Hagerstown was awarded a bachelor of science in paralegal studies.

Tammy Walker of Hagerstown was awarded a bachelor of science in business administration.

Jamie R. Marin of Frederick was awarded a bachelor of science in criminal justice.

Trunetta Woods of Frederick was awarded a bachelor of science in criminal justice.

Sarah E. Abrahams of Chambersburg, Pa., was awarded an associate of science in arts and sciences.

Greta North of Marion, Pa., was awarded an associate of applied science in business administration.

Heather Clark of Shippensburg, Pa., was awarded an associate of applied science in business administration.

Tina W. Williams of Waynesboro, Pa., was awarded a bachelor of science in criminal justice.

Dale Depoy of Charles Town, W.Va., was awarded a bachelor of science in criminal justice.

Jennifer Carter of Bunker Hill, W.Va., was awarded a master of arts in education.

The Kaplan University winter class of approximately 2,500 students earned their associate's, bachelor's and master's degrees completely online.
