JLG Industries



McCONNELLSBURG, Pa. - JLG Industries Inc., an Oshkosh Corp. company and a leading manufacturer of aerial work platforms and telescopic material handlers, received the Show Stopper Award at the National Electrical Contractors Association (NECA) 2008 Convention and Trade Show for its LiftPod personal and portable lift.

The JLG LiftPod, pictured at right, is the first portable aerial work platform designed to replace the ladder. The LiftPod reaches a 14-foot working height and is operated using a common 18-volt drill or optional power pack.

Its lightweight and portable design makes the LiftPod easily mobile around the job site and convenient for stowing in a pickup truck, van or SUV.

The LiftPod was selected the winner from nearly 300 exhibitors at NECA 2008.

Girls Inc.



Girls Inc. of Washington County has announced a partnership with Sundance Consulting Services LLC of Westminster, Md.

The consulting firm will work with Girls Inc. to form a fund development plan of action, institute a planned giving program, and set specific policies and procedures for gift acceptance.

Girls Inc., which has served the needs of girls in Hagers-town for more than 60 years, aims to empower all girls to be self-sufficient, responsible and confident women.

Prime Outlets



Two new stores and two new eateries at the food court soon will be opening at Prime Outlets at Hagerstown.

Skechers, which will offer more than 2,500 styles of footwear, will occupy a 3,600-square-foot store next to Adidas.

Joey's Shopper Network, which offers QVC and beyond closeout items, will open a 4,500-square-foot store next to Ecko.

China Max and Jr.'s Steakery will open in the food court.

Moore Wealth



FREDERICK, Md. - Moore Wealth, a financial services firm at 50 Carroll Creek Way in Frederick, is offering free advice on strategies to preserve as much savings and retirement investments as possible.

The free consultations last about 30 minutes and are available only by appointment.

Shabri Moore, president of Moore Wealth, said she plans to offer the free service until June.

Clinic days are Feb. 27, March 27, April 24, May 29 and June 26.
