Family crocheting workshop

CHAMBERSBURG, Pa. - A family crocheting workshop for adults and children ages 8 and older. 1:30 to 3:30 p.m. Sundays, Feb. 15 and 22. Chambersburg YMCA. $25 for one parent and child (nonmembers); $15 for one parent and one child(Y members); $5 for each additional person. Double reed day

SHEPHERDSTOWN, W.Va. - The event is for "people who play" and "people who work with people who play" double reed instruments. The one-day seminar is open to high school double reed players in grades nine through 12, college students and instrumental music teachers and directors who have an interest in double reeds. Oboist Gregory Shook and bassonist Richard Polonchak will lead the seminar. Both teachers perform with Shepherd's Faculty Wind Trio, Shepherd Three. 9 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. Shepherd University's Frank Arts Center. Free, but registration is required. Ceramics studio class

MONT ALTO, Pa. - An introduction to the art of making pottery and sculptural objects in clay. More advance techniques are available for intermediate students. The instrutor is Tom McFarland. 6 to 9 p.m. Wednesdays, March 18, through April 22.
