Teens and anxiety program



THURMONT, Md. - Families Plus will offer a free program, "Teens and Anxiety" from 6 to 8 p.m. Wednesday, Feb. 18, at Catoctin High School. Dinner begins at 6 p.m., followed by the program at 6:30 p.m.

The program will discuss ways adults can help teens deal with anxiety caused by peer pressure, college choices and testing. The program is appropriate for middle and high school students.

Anger management for children



FREDERICK, Md. -Families Plus will present a multi-week, anger-management group for parents and elementary school-age students.

The sessions will be from 7 to 8:30 p.m. Tuesdays, Feb. 24 and March 3, 10 and 17 at Families Plus, 35 E. Church St.

Program about life beyond high school



FREDERICK, Md. -"Let's Talk About It: Life in High School and Beyond" will be held from 7 to 8:30 p.m. Wednesday, Feb. 25, at Thomas Johnson Middle School. The program is free.

The public is invited to bring questions, concerns and suggestions to the informal chat with Michele Weddle, high school teacher specialist for special education for Frederick County Public Schools. The roundtable is the second in a series co-sponsored by FCPS' Partners for Success, Families Plus and the Infant and Toddlers' Family Support Network.
