He was a member of the Mercersburg (Pa.) Mennonite Church.
He was a member and chaplain of Kauffman Ruritan Club and a former member and chaplain of Longmeadow Fire Department.
He is survived by his wife, Dorcas T. Timmons Eby, whom he married Dec. 19, 1992; one daughter, Camilla A. Ancell of Hagerstown; one son, Kenrick M. Eby of Chambersburg; two sisters, Thelma F. Martin of Marion, Pa., and Wanda J. Horst of Greencastle; two brothers, Donald L. Eby of Chambersburg and Elwood J. Eby of Greencastle; six grandchildren; and two great-grandsons.
He was preceded in death by one sister, Arlene L. Baer.
A memorial service will be Saturday at 2 p.m. at Mercersburg Mennonite Church. The Revs. Allen Eshleman, David Possinger and Lloyd Gingrich will officiate.
Burial will be private.
The family will receive friends today from 5 to 8 p.m. at Harold M. Zimmerman and Son Funeral Home in Greencastle.
The family requests the omission of flowers.
