PARKVILLE, Md. - H. Dorothy Limmer, 94, of Oak Crest Village, died Wednesday, Feb. 11, 2009, at Oak Crest Village Nursing Home.

Born Sept. 8, 1914, in Baltimore, she was the daughter of the late William F. and Annie G. Maxfield Armstrong.

She was preceded in death by her husband of 69 years, Aaron G. Limmer, in 2005.

She was formerly employed in sales and stock control by Hutzler Brothers in Towson, Md.

She was a member of St. Ursula Catholic Church in Parkville, the Catholic Daughters and the Altar Society.

She is survived by two sons, the Rev. George A. Limmer of Hagerstown and Edward Limmer of Sykesville, Md.; two grandchildren; and five great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by seven sisters, Lillian Armstrong, Anna Polman, Grace Harrison, Georgia McCann, Catherine Shanahan, Elsie Hogan and Angel Armstrong; and four brothers, William Armstrong, Charles Armstrong, Bernard Armstrong and Edward Armstrong.


A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated Saturday at 10:30 a.m. at Oak Crest Village Chapel in Parkville. The Rev. George A. Limmer will be celebrant. Burial will be in Dulaney Valley Memorial Gardens in Timonium, Md.

The family will receive friends today from 2 to 4 p.m. and 7 to 9 p.m. at Ruck Funeral Home in Baltimore. The rosary will be recited at 7 p.m.

In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to Alzheimer's Association, 1850 York Road, Suite D, Timonium, MD 21093.
