Man faces sex assault charges

HANCOCK - A Hancock man has been charged with several sex offenses after a girl accused him of sexually assaulting her, according to a Hancock Police Department news release.

Jeremy Omega Ensor was arrested at his home at 24 E. Main St., Hancock Police Chief T. J. Buskirk said in the release.

The Washington County Sheriff's Department and the Maryland State Police assisted in the arrest, the release said.

Ensor was charged with first-degree rape, second-degree rape and first-degree sex offense, among other charges, the release said.

An investigation into the case was begun by the Department of Social Services and Child Protective Services, the release said.
