Business Expo, Lions breakfast set

February 12, 2009

WAYNESBORO, Pa. - The Waynesboro Lions Club will start cooking early Saturday for its all-you-can eat pancake and sausage breakfast, which serves close to 1,000 meals some years.

The event will be from 7 a.m. to noon at Waynesboro Area Senior High School. The 13th annual Greater Waynesboro Chamber of Commerce Business Expo will be held in conjunction.

Chamber director Carlene Willhide said 35 vendors have signed up for the expo, which starts a half-hour after the breakfast begins.

Both events will be in the high school's new cafeteria.

Willhide said she's especially excited for this year's expo because the new cafeteria allows everything to be held in one location, rather than be divided between the cafeteria and gymnasium.

New participants in the Business Expo include Green Arbor, South Central Tae Kwon Do, UPS Store, Dream Maker Bath & Kitchens, Kline's Roofing, Synergy, Zeigler Construction, Custom Sign Studio, Guardian In-Home Services, Salzmann Hughes, Communities That Care, Tru Precision and Rita's Italian Ice.

Four candidates for a county judge seat have signed up for booths.

The Lions Club will be selling tickets at the door. They are $6 for adults and $3 for children ages 5 to 12.

All proceeds benefit the club's community projects.

State Rep. Todd Rock, R-Franklin, will not be holding his Senior Fair at the school as in past years. Instead, he will be holding a Family Fair from 8 a.m. to noon March 14 at Greencastle-Antrim Middle School.
