February 12, 2009

Get your motors running

Vroom, vroom. Granted you can't drive the race cars around the mall, but you can still check them out. Hagerstown Speedway kicks off its season with a Race-A-Rama at Valley Mall next Wednesday through Friday. See story.

Icy experience

Tend not to be artistic? Try snow sculpting. It might be more forgiving. Hancock's Winterfest is Saturday.

Love hurts

Not feeling lovey-dovey on Valentine's Day? Try the UnValentine's Hang for teens from 7 to 10 p.m. Saturday at Lenoard P. Snyder Memorial Branch Library in Clear Spring. Includes an unromantic movie and a disgusting munchie. Geared for eighth to 12th-graders. To register, call 301-842-2730.

Truly 'Amazing'

Go team, go! The Emmy award-winning "The Amazing Race" starts its 14th season Sunday at 8 p.m. on CBS. Contestants include a pair of former Miami Dolphins cheerleaders and the show's first deaf competitor.

They've got game

Betcha can't make this shot! The NBA adds H-O-R-S-E to its All-Star festivities. Three NBA players will compete during "Inside the NBA," which airs from 5 to 7 p.m. Saturday on TNT.
