BERKELEY SPRINGS, W.Va. - Phillip Glenn "Mike" Kelley, 79, of Berkeley Springs, died Monday, Feb. 9, 2009, at his home.

Born Nov. 26, 1929, in Sir Johns Run, W.Va., he was the son of the late Conrad Edward and Budessa Hergisheimer Kelley.

He attended the Sir Johns Run School and Berkeley Springs High School.

He retired from the shipping department at Vanguard Products in 1991.

He was a member of Berkeley Springs Presbyterian Church and also attended Wesley Chapel United Methodist Church.

He was a member of the Junior Order of United American Mechanics Council 117.

He is survived by his wife of 58 years, Carolyn Ann Yost Kelley, at home; one daughter, Francie Kay Fansler of Berkeley Springs; one son, Michael G. Kelley of Berkeley Springs; one sister, Helen M. Hovermale of Berkeley Springs; one brother, Wilbur Reed Kelley of Grantsville, Ga.; two grandchildren; one great-granddaughter; and many nieces and nephews.


He was preceded in death by six sisters, Mary V. Shives, Reva G. Anderson, Wilma E. Johnson, Louise D. Martin, Frances Stotler and Lillian P. Kelley; and four brothers, Paul E. Kelley, Conrad E. Kelley, John T. Kelley and Robert W. Kelley.

Services will be Friday at 11 a.m. at Helsley-Johnson Funeral Home, Berkeley Springs. Pastor Frankie Revell and the Rev. Robert S. Osborne will officiate. Burial will be at Greenway Cemetery.

The family will receive friends Friday from 9 to 11 a.m. at the funeral home.
