FUNKSTOWN - A special exception to open a wedding/special event site at 32 E. Baltimore St. has prompted the need for a public hearing now scheduled for Thursday, Feb. 19, at 7 p.m. at Funkstown Town Hall - next door to the proposed business.
Liz Hopkinson, purchaser of the property, is seeking the special exception in accordance with the rules of the Funkstown zoning ordinance.
Briefly at the monthly town meeting Monday night, the issue of parking was raised by members of the town council. Inquiries have apparently been made to St. Paul's Lutheran Church, 24 E. Baltimore St., and Funkstown Town Hall, both of which are adjacent to the property.
