BERKELEY SPRINGS, W.Va. - Imogene "Jean" Arbutus Golliday, 81, of Berkeley Springs, died Monday, Feb. 9, 2009, at Autumn Acres in Berkeley Springs.

Born Nov. 23, 1927, in Hampshire County, W.Va., she was the daughter of the late Frank S. and Ethel Kidwell Allen.

Her husband, Homer Curtis Golliday, died in 2003.

She was a member of Berkeley Springs Fire Department Auxiliary and American Legion Auxiliary.

She is survived by four sons, Roger D. Allen of Hancock, Ronnie L. O'Brien and Scott C. Golliday, both of Berkeley Springs, and Kevin L. Golliday of Augusta, W.Va.; seven grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren.


She was preceded in death by one infant daughter, Sandra K. Golliday; one sister, Iva E. McDonald; and three brothers, Brady C. Allen, Ralph B. Allen and Cecil Allen.

Services will be Thursday at 11 a.m. at Hunter-Anderson Funeral Home, Berkeley Springs. The Rev. Steve Dawson will officiate. Burial will be at 1 p.m. in Mount Union Cemetery, Slanesville, W.Va.

Visitation will be Wednesday from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m., and one hour prior to the services Thursday at the funeral home.
