Shepherd plans International Week events

SHEPHERDSTOWN, W.Va. - The study abroad office at Shepherd University will sponsor two events open to the public this week as part of International Week.

Passport Day will be Wednesday from 10 a.m. to noon, and 1 to 3:30 p.m. in the Scarborough Library, room 256.

Co-sponsored by the Martinsburg (W.Va.) Post Office, the event will include a photographer, applications and post office personnel on-site. TLC Photography will be available to take passport photos for $10, plus tax.

Cash, checks or credit cards will be accepted, but not Rambler cards. For passport application requirements, go to http://travel.state.gov.

"Staying Healthy When Traveling Abroad: A Discussion of Travel Health Issues" will be Thursday at 2 p.m. in the Scarborough Library, room 256. Dr. Sanjna Malpani of Business Health Services, WVUH-East, will discuss the potential health hazards associated with international travel and ways to remain healthy.
