CHAMBERSBURG, Pa. - Mae Elizabeth Lehman Shank, 92, of Menno Haven, died Saturday, Feb. 7, 2009.

Born Jan. 21, 1917, in Franklin County, Pa., she was the daughter of the late Peter and Alice Frey Lehman.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Glenn H. Shank, in 2006.

She and her husband operated a family farm.

She was a member of Cedar Street Mennonite Church, where she had been active with the Ladies Sewing Circle.

She was a volunteer of Menno Haven Auxiliary and the Bible Release Time program.

She is survived by seven children, Janet Eberly of Fayetteville, Pa., Gerald Shank of Ephrata, Pa., Rachel Wadel, Wayne Shank and Judith Martin, all of Chambersburg, Glenda Martin of Shippensburg, Pa. and Carlton Shank of York Haven, Pa.; 21 grandchildren; and 50 great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by two brothers, Norman Lehman and Arthur Lehman.

Services will be Wednesday at 10 a.m. at Marion Mennonite Church in Chambersburg. Merle Cordell, Darrell Baer and William Higgins will officiate. Burial will follow in the adjoining church cemetery.

Visitation will be Wednesday from 9 to 10 a.m. at the church.

The family will receive friends Tuesday from 6 to 9 p.m. at Thomas L. Geisel Funeral Home in Chambersburg.

In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to Menno Haven Benevolent Fund, 2011 Scotland Ave., Chambersburg, PA 17201.
