CHAMBERSBURG, Pa. - Marlene F. Pensinger, 75, formerly of Chambersburg, died Thursday, Feb. 5, 2009, at Transitions Healthcare Nursing Home in Sykesville, Md.

Born April 28, 1933, in Chambersburg, she was the daughter of the late LeRoy and Edna Forbes Deamer.

She was a 1951 graduate of the former Chambersburg High School.

She and her husband owned and operated the former Pensinger's Lawn Care Inc. in the Baltimore area for 18 years.

She is survived by her husband, Grant Pensinger, whom she married in December 1951; four children, Gary Pensinger of Westminster, Md., K. Sue Williams of Huntersville, N.C., Phillip Pensinger of Wilmington, Del., and Michael Pensinger of Glyndon, Md.; one sister, Kay Moore of Fayetteville, Pa.; one brother, Roy Deamer of Ephrata, Pa.; nine grandchildren; and seven great-grandchildren.

Services will be Monday at 1 p.m. at Thomas L. Geisel Funeral Home, Chambersburg. Burial will follow in St. Thomas (Pa.) Cemetery.

The family will receive friends Monday from noon to 1 p.m. at the funeral home.
