Berkeley Co. woman reports attack

MARTINSBURG, W.Va. -- A Berkeley County woman told police a man attacked her early Saturday as she was letting her dog out the back door of her home, according to a Berkeley County Sheriff's Department press release.

Berkeley County Central Dispatch received the emergency call Saturday about 2 a.m. from the Nadenbousch Lane area south of Martinsburg, Berkeley County Sheriff's Department Deputy Trent D. Heckman said.

The woman was able free herself from her attacker and call for help, Heckman said.
