The Herald-Mail's Oscar Picks Contest

Who couldn't use $50 this year?

So take a shot in The Herald-Mail's sixth Oscar Picks Contest and see if you can correctly guess who will win Academy Awards in 10 categories. The winner will receive $50 and have his or her picture published in The Herald-Mail.

The contestant with the most correct picks in 10 selected categories will win. (See the categories and rules below.)

The 81st annual Academy Awards are scheduled to be televised on ABC at 8 p.m. Sunday, Feb. 22.

We'll print the results, along with the name and photo of our Oscar Picks Contest winner, on Sunday, March 1.

Contest entry guidelines

To be eligible to win, contestants must live in Washington or Frederick counties in Maryland; Franklin or Fulton counties in Pennsylvania; or Berkeley, Jefferson or Morgan counties in West Virginia.

Herald-Mail employees and their family members are not eligible to participate.

One entry per person.

The contestant with the most correct picks in these 10 selected categories will win. If there is a tie, a drawing will be held to decide the winner. The winner must be available to have his or her photo taken Tuesday, Feb. 24, or Wednesday, Feb. 25.

Entry submissions are due by 5 p.m. Friday, Feb. 20 - the Friday before the Oscars ceremony. Submit entries to The Herald-Mail by mail or e-mail:
