Hagerstown man charged following chase in Pa.



WAYNESBORO, Pa. - Washington Township police chased a vehicle on Pa. 316 South into Maryland on Friday, then worked with the Washington County Sheriff's Department to make an arrest, according to a police news release.

Patrick Amatucci, of 18918 Longmeadow Road, Hagerstown, was arrested and charged with fleeing and eluding police, as well as several traffic violations in Maryland. Washington Township police filed similar charges in Pennsylvania, the news release stated.

Amatucci's vehicle rapidly approached a police cruiser in the incorrect lane of travel and forced the officer to drive onto the shoulder shortly before 3:30 a.m., police said.

He was stopped on Norway Maple Drive.

Woman charged with stabbing boyfriend



CHAMBERSBURG, Pa. - A woman was charged with aggravated assault after stabbing her boyfriend in the hand with a pair of scissors Monday morning, according to the Chambersburg Police Department.

Police said Brandy R. Coover, 29, of 542 Guilford Ave. stabbed Greg J. Miller during an altercation at her home. The incident was called in at 3:26 a.m., police said.
