South High Boosters plan basket bingo

The South Hagerstown High School Band Boosters will hold a basket bingo Sunday, March 1, at Elks Lodge 378 on Robinwood Drive.

Tickets cost $25 per person and include a hot lunch. You must be 18 or older to play bingo or tip jars.

There will be 24 games plus special raffles, door prizes and tip jars, including King Tuts. All baskets will be filled.

Doors open at 11:30 a.m., lunch will be served at 12:30 p.m. and bingo begins at 1:30 p.m.

Faith and Film Series

The Interfaith Coalition of Washington County will hold its monthly Faith and Film series on three Thursday nights in February, March and April.


o Feb. 19 - "Search for Spirituality"

o March 19 - "God and Buddha"

o April 16 - "Heart of Islam"

The series will be held at the Hagerstown Church of the Brethren, East Washington and Mulberry streets, from 7 to 9 p.m. Refreshments will be provided. For more information, call Pastor Ed Poling at 301-733-3565.

Discovery Station

Saturday - Jerry Spessard will talk about the "History of the Hagerstown Almanac" at 2 p.m. at Discovery Station in downtown Hagerstown.

Winter exhibit

The winter exhibit is under way at the Mansion House Art Gallery in Hagerstown City Park through March 1.

The exhibit, which is an all-membership show, is in the north gallery.

Hagerstown Lions Club

Tuesday - Karen May of Karen L. May LLC, managing member, will talk about "The Collaborative Way to Divorce."
