CHAMBERSBURG, Pa. - Paul "Jay" Cline, 48, of 2854 Rocky Spring Road, died Thursday, Jan. 29, 2009, at Hershey (Pa.) Medical Center.

Born Oct. 25, 1960, in Chambersburg, he was the son of Patsy J. Murray Cline of Chambersburg and the late Paul E. Cline.

He was a 1978 graduate of James Buchanan High School, Mercersburg, Pa.

He had been employed at New Cumberland Army Depot as a truck dispatcher prior to retiring in 2002 due to disability.


He served in the U.S. Navy for eight years.

He attended Spirit of Christ Community Church in Chambersburg.

He was a member of American Legion Post 606 in Fort Loudon, Pa.

In addition to his mother, he is survived by his wife, Nancy L. Monn Cline, whom he married May 9, 2003; one stepdaughter, Tanya L. Rogers of Mercersburg; one sister, Cherry L. Barnhart of Chambersburg; three brothers, Monte L. Cline and Brett E. Cline, both of Chambersburg, and Berkley S. Cline of Mercersburg; and two stepgrandchildren.

Services will be Wednesday at 1 p.m. at Spirit of Christ Community Church. Pastor Daniel Brow will officiate. Burial will be in Stenger Hill Cemetery, Fort Loudon. The Honor Guard of VFW Post 1599, Chambersburg, will conduct graveside services.

Viewing will be Tuesday from 7 to 9 p.m. at Lininger-Fries Funeral Home Inc., Mercersburg, and one hour prior to the services Wednesday at the church.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Spirit of Christ Community Church, 1985 Wenger Lane, Chambersburg, PA 17201.
