Preps Area Roundup -- Williamsport shuts down North, 60-35

WILLIAMSPORT -- A pair of four-game streaks ended Saturday night as Williamsport stunned North Hagerstown, 60-35.

The Wildcats (7-6) broke their four-game losing streak while North (9-6) had its four-game winning streak halted.

Playing a man defense the entire way, Williamsport kept the Hubs around the perimeter while the Wildcats used the inside play of Casey McKenrick and Michael Warrenfeltz to their advantage.

Warrenfeltz scored 12 of his 14 points in the first half, including eight in the first quarter, and McKenrick picked up the slack in the second half with 12 of his team-high 15 points.

Warrenfeltz had 10 rebounds, Colby McCauley had five assists and four steals and Stephen Christy had eight rebounds.

North's leading scorer, Brent Bell, was held to just three field goals and finished with 11 points.

SHIPPENSBURG, Pa. -- Christian Hoover had 14 points and Trevor Ile recorded 11 for Greencastle, which fell to Mid-Penn Capital foe Scotland (12-4, 7-3) in the Dunks for Drew at Shippensburg University.

D.J. Cordell brought down six boards for the Blue Devils (7-12, 4-5).

CHAMBERSBURG, Pa. -- Kenny Lininger scored 14 points and T.J. Leedy had nine boards as Fulton County Community Christian (13-4) forced 41 turnovers to edge Shalom Christian.

Seth Gordon dished out six assists for Fulton County, which hit 8-of-10 free throws in the fourth quarter to keep Shalom at bay.

Tyler Strite led the Flames (2-17) in scoring with 12 points.

No. 1 North Hagerstown 75, Williamsport 36

LaRae Allen led North Hagerstown with 17 points and seven rebounds as the Hubs easily dispatched Williamsport at home.

Kirksten Mitchell scored 13 while Akatshi Osongo came off the bench to tally seven points and eight boards for the Hubs (14-1), who led 38-16 at the halfway mark.

Kelly Beard had 12 points for the Wildcats (6-8).
