Oratory contest

Contemporary School of the Arts and Gallery will host an oratory contest themed "Barack Obama" in celebration of Black History Month. The contest will be from 1 to 3 p.m. Saturday, Feb. 14; 1 to 3 p.m. Saturday, Feb. 21, with a guest speaker; and 1 to 3 p.m. Saturday, Feb. 28, with a guest speaker. Family fun night

HEDGESVILLE, W.Va. - Tomahawk Intermediate School will host a family fun night and Scholastic Book Fair from 4 to 8 p.m. Friday, Feb. 6, at the school on W.Va. 9, west of Hedgesville.

The book fair will offer hundreds of books for levels from toddlers to middle school. There also will be an adult section.

Family fun night will include a free double feature movie, "Charlotte's Web" and "Holes." There will be free popcorn and drinks.

Film about Canada

CHAMBERSBURG, Pa. - Conococheague Audubon Society will sponsor the family film, "National Parks of Canada," narrated by photographer Dale Johnson, at 7:30 p.m. Thursday, Feb. 19, in the auditorium of Chambersburg Area Middle School, corner of Stouffer Avenue and 1151 E. McKinley St.

Prefilm entertainment will begin at 7 p.m. featuring guitar music by Roy Justice. Door prizes will be given during intermission.

Tickets cost $6. Proceeds from the ticket price will promote nature conservation.
