30-foot booster cables

January 30, 2009

It's not often that a set of booster cables will catch our eye, but what's interesting about Wrangler NW Power Products' 30-foot cables is that they're hardwired to your battery with a special socket located in the grille area.

You keep the rest of the cable set in your vehicle, so, when you need a boost, you just plug the sockets together and use traditional clamps on the vehicle that's doing the boosting. That means you can get a boost without lifting the hood of your own vehicle and, because the cables are so long, your vehicle doesn't have to be nose to nose with the vehicle doing the boosting.

If you're vehicle is parked nose-first against a brick wall, you can still get a boost with a booster vehicle parked behind you.

Better still is the "I-Light" feature that shows green when the connection is good (and red when it isn't). There are different lengths but why would you go less than 30 feet?
