Tuesday evening drawing sessions

Washington County Arts Council hosts Tuesday evening drawing sessions. Kimberly Jensen will pose each of the eight weeks. 6 to 8 p.m. Tuesdays through March 24. Latin American cooking classes

FREDERICK, Md. - Participants will learn to prepare dishes from countries such as Peru, Ecuador, Panama and the Dominican Republic. Winter gardening 101

CHAMBERSBURG, Pa. -Franklin County Master Gardeners offers "Winter Gardening 101." 9:30 to 11:30 a.m. Saturdays, Feb. 7 and March 7. Ag Heritage Building, 181 Franklin Farm Lane. Topics are:

o Feb. 7 - Winter Sowing Seeds. Karen Brown will discuss "wintersowing," using recycled containers that act as miniature greenhosues, in which to sow seeds outdoors. A hands-on class. $5. Snow date is Feb. 14.

o March 7 - Hands-on Pruning. Elmer Greey will demonstrate hands-on pruning at his Shippensburg garden. Dress for the weather and bring bypass pruning shears. $5. Snow date is March 14.
