Frederick man faces weapon, theft charges

FREDERICK, Md. - A Frederick man was charged Wednesday with disorderly conduct, carrying a concealed dangerous weapon and theft under $100 after police responded to a Giant supermarket on New Design Road for a man with a gun in a holster on his hip, police said.

Fabian J. Miguele, 22, was taken to the Frederick County Adult Detention Center's Central Booking Unit for processing, according to a Frederick County Sheriff's Office news release.

An investigation showed the gun was stolen earlier in the day from a Wal-Mart store and was painted black to give it a more realistic appearance, the release said.

One person taken to hospital after crash

CLEAR SPRING - A single-vehicle accident involving injuries was reported Thursday at 8:28 a.m. in the area of Hicksville Road, a Washington County Emergency Services dispatcher said.

People were trapped in the vehicle, the dispatcher said.

One of the injured people was taken to the hospital, a Maryland State Police trooper said.

A state police spokesman said Thursday afternoon the person's injuries were not life-threatening.
